Dominican Republic Holidays

Luxury holidays in the Dominican Republic

The Dominican Republic offers quality holidays resonating with colour and variety. It is an island of contrasts: sandy beaches and lush nightlife, rural villages and ancient prehistoric sites – all this and more is waiting for you on luxury holidays to the Dominican Republic.
Our Personal Travel Advisors will book luxury holidays catering for your exact needs. Do you want the beach nightlife and water sports of Cabarete, or the secluded beauty of the Playa Limón lagoons? Secluded mountain retreats and rainforest splendour, or vibrant self-contained luxury resorts with non-stop entertainment – it’s all here.

Quality holidays mean the finest beaches

Punta Cana is at the eastern tip of the island and a long way from sight-seeing areas, but perfect for luxury holidays on the beach. Here, you will find miles of white sandy beaches backed by palm trees, luxury hotels and a vibrant nightlife.
Yet quality holidays here needn’t mean big hotels. The little town of Río San Juan is remarkably quiet and unspoilt, and an excellent base from which to enjoy Playa Grande, one of the best beaches on the island.
The North Coast is where the action is, and Cabarete has plenty of it.  This one-street town is at the heart of Dominican culture, and famous for its kitesurfing and other water sports. At night, people relax with a drink and healthy al fresco meal, watching the amazing sunsets from the beach.

All-inclusive luxury holidays

The southeast is known for its all-inclusive holidays in gated resort developments at Punta Cana. Unlike other intensely developed tourist areas, Punta Cana has an exclusivity that makes it ideal for people wanting quality holidays with everything to hand.
Venture outside however, and there is a vast landscape to explore. The sugar plantations are dotted with little village communities, and nearby is the picturesque fishing village of Bayahibe.

Mountains and wonder

From Bayahibe, visitors can also get boat trips to the Parque Nacional Los Haitises, a sub-tropical rain forest accessible only from the sea. Here, there are unusual limestone caves with ancient Taíno drawings, and thousands of jewelled butterflies.
The Dominican landscape has mountains, ravines and the famous Damajaguan Falls to explore. Mountain biking is a popular way to get round the island, and offers an opportunity to explore the sleepy little inland towns, and hidden coves inaccessible to excursion tourists.

Luxury holidays for culture lovers

The Dominican towns are rich with colonial heritage. Santo Domingo and Puerto Plata are rich with palaces, churches, fortifications and museums, as well as shops and nightlife.
The Dominican Republic offers a host of luxury holidays, for every type of experience you could name a range of travel options that can be confusing.  At Personal Travel Advisors, we can ensure you get affordable luxury holidays that you can book with confidence.
