Universal Orlando actually consists of two theme parks next to each other, with a host of restaurants including the Hard Rock Café and also a cinema for the evening entertainment or when you just want a break from all the roller coaster riding.
Based near Jacksonville, Amelia Island boasts beautiful beaches and fantastic seafood. You’ll find a historic fort to explore and entertainment in the form of actors who portray characters of the time. Amelia Island Plantation is child friendly with poolside entertainment and kid’s camps for all ages. The Ritz Carlton has a children’s programme with a children’s pool and beautiful beach with shallow paddling lagoons, making it a great stop between theme parks for family holidays in Florida.
Just 45 minutes from Orlando is Space Coast, a 72 mile stretch of coastline. This is the spot where the moon launches were carried out and the site of today’s shuttle launches. The main attraction is the Kennedy Space Center and the stunning beaches. A lesser known attraction is the eco tours. There are miles of saltwater estuaries, wildlife refuges and marshlands to explore.
Busch Gardens is a popular theme park covering 335 acres jam packed with roller coasters, water rides, children’s play areas, beautiful grounds and the chance to see rhinos, elephants and other African wildlife.
All this and more makes Florida ideal for family breaks and all inclusive holidays, whether booking in advance or seeking last minute breaks.
