Goa Holidays

The Heavenly Beaches of Goa

All inclusive holidays to Goa guarantee you a relaxing and fun holiday experience.  This beautiful beach resort has quickly become one of the favourite destinations in India offering tranquillity and entertainment for families and romantic sand and sea for couples.

Goa is located on the west coast of India and holiday makers are lured to its beaches from around the globe.  Famous for its many temples and churches Goa has a wealth of bio diversity and if you are a nature lover a trek to the forests of Goa is a must.  You’ll find the locals warm and friendly, making your family holiday a pleasure.

When to Visit

As Goa sits on the coast its climate is sunny and humid all year.  Temperatures range from 23 to 32 degrees Celsius but be aware that the rains are extremely heavy.  The monsoon happens from June to September so these times are best avoided as swimming is dangerous due to the currents.  The most popular time to visit is between November and May and Goa at Christmas is a popular last minute holiday

Highlights of Goa

Goa is roughly divided between North Goa and South Goa.  Within North Goa you’ll find the capital city Panjim and also Mapusa, a market town.  The breathtaking temples of Mangeshi and Nageshi can also be found near Panjim and are well worth a visit.  For beach lovers there are plenty of beautiful stretches to choose from.  Baga, Calangute, Vagator, Anjuna and Candolim are just some of the beaches to visit.  The Fort Aguada is also a popular attraction and in Old Goa the churches are stunning relics.

In South Goa you will discover dreamy beaches such as Palolem, Benaulim and Colva.  When it comes to temples the Shata Durga temple is truly a work of art.

The Cuisine of Goa

There are some true gastronomical delights to be had and Goa is famous for its sea food with kingfish being a local delicacy.  When dining on kingfish and tiger prawns try out the local wines.  There are also dishes such as Chicken Cafreal and Chicken Xacuti to sample at restaurants such as the Ruchira Restaurant and the Golden Oven Bakery offers mouth watering cookies and cakes.  Soak up the cultural delights by eating lunch at one of the many beach shacks and dine out in the evening at Baga beach.  Here you’ll find a vibrant party atmosphere with live entertainment, karaoke and barbequed food on offer.
