About Me
Hi I'm Richard Slater, and I live in Whirley, Macclesfield with my wife Lynne and our children Laura aged 5 and Tom who's 2 and not forgetting Bailey the chocolate Labrador. My first foreign holiday was when I was 14 and my family took me on a P & O Canberra cruise, I loved the sights and sounds of different countries and when I came back I got a Saturday job working in a travel agency stamping the brochures and taking phone messages. When I left school I went to college and studied travel and tourism. After leaving college I started work for Ringway Travel, and then move on to another independent agent. In January 2011, I decided to start my own travel company and who better to work with than the Co-operative.
My Travel Experience
I have worked in the independent travel sector since 1987 and have built up a huge bank of knowledge and contacts in that time. I've visited some fantastic destinations including Canada - Vancouver, Toronto & Calgary. I have experienced the sights of New England in the fall, with visits to Boston, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut. I have been on safari to Kenya and Tanzania with Kuoni, visiting the Masaai Mara and the beaches of Mombasa. Again with Kuoni, I have toured the beautiful island and Sri Lanka, staying at the famous Mount Lavina hotel, before moving on to the stunning Maldives. For our honeymoon Lynne and I travel to Malaysia, staying in the vibrant city of Kuala Lumpa before flying off to the island of Penang for a relaxing stay at the Shangri La hotel. I have travelled to many other destinations in my career including Florida and Disney staying in the Disney All Stars hotel, Back to the far east and I enjoyed a week in Thailand, staying in Bangkok and Chiang Mai. Nearer to home I have travelled to Denmark, Belgium, Holland, France, been skiing in Switzerland, and had holidays in Spain, Italy, Greece and Sicily. I also enjoy holidaying in the UK with the family visiting holiday parks with Hoseasons and Haven, along with boating holidays on the Norfolk Broad and the Thames. There also nothing better than taking a city break in London with a theatre trip or Edinburgh to see the Tattoo.

Being independent I am not tied to specific operators and I will only sell holiday companies that I have total confidence in.
